At our MINT locations in St. Louis, MO and Swansea, IL we offer state-of-the-art comfortable treatment options combined with shorter wait times, friendly staff, and a skilled medical team. Our treatment objective is to provide a positive experience that restores enjoyment in your life. To assist you, we offer a variety of treatments including vein ablations, VenaSeal, sclerotherapy, or phlebectomy.
Vein Ablations:
A vein ablation, also known as endovenous ablation and laser or radiofrequency vein treatment, uses targeted heat to seal the veins shut. During the procedure, a small catheter is guided via ultrasound to the problematic vein and laser or radiofrequency energy is applied, closing the vein. To ensure that patients are comfortable during the procedure, MINT offers twilight sedation, which is an option that many other vein centers do not have. The procedure is quick, only lasting about 20 minutes. The patient will be out of the office within 1 hour of their appointment and back to work and other normal activities the next day.
VenaSeal:
VenaSeal is a medical adhesive delivered into the vein that effectively closes the saphenous veins responsible for causing varicose veins, without the risk of nerve injury. The procedure does not require sedation and only lasts approximately 20-30 minutes. The patient will see immediate cosmetic results and will be able to return to work and normal activities the next day.
Sclerotherapy:
Sclerotherapy works by injecting sclerosant, a type of liquid that destroys the damaged veins that cause varicose veins. Once the body absorbs the damaged veins, the body then uses healthier veins to redirect blood back to the heart. Sclerotherapy is also useful in the treatment of spider veins. Free cosmetic screening of spider veins is offered to patients who have completed medical treatment for their problematic veins. Free spider vein screening and competitive sclerotherapy pricing are available to all patients. During the free screening, the extent of the spider veins and the proposed length of treatment will be determined. Book your free spider vein screening today!
Phlebectomy:
Phlebectomy is the removal of varicose veins through several tiny incisions made in the skin.
